Garden
The VilleWorth Grange Garden started the summer of 2021 as the inaugural project of the organization.
Previously, First Baptist Church of Huntersville worked a community garden in this space on their property. After years of dormancy, several members of the church formed the VilleWorth Grange with additional community members as a separate entity to maintain the garden. Upon creation of the Grange chapter, Grange members were approached to seed pumpkins for fall harvest and sale in 2021. The land was tilled and promptly panted with four varieties, Connecticut Field, Sugar Pie, Jack Be Little and Porcelain Doll.
We are now growing corn, tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, artichokes, and flowers. for the 2023 season. All produce is given away as it is harvested, mostly through Angels and Sparrows in Huntersville.
