The VilleWorth Grange Garden started the summer of 2021 as the inaugural project of the organization.

Previously, First Baptist Church of Huntersville worked a community garden in this space on their property. After years of dormancy, several members of the church formed the VilleWorth Grange with additional community members as a separate entity to maintain the garden. Upon creation of the Grange chapter, Grange members were approached to seed pumpkins for fall harvest and sale. The land was tilled and promptly panted with four varieties, Connecticut Field, Sugar Pie, Jack Be Little and Porcelain Doll.

We plan to purchase additional varieties from a local farmer to sell this fall.

Going forward into spring, we hope to start seeds, offer workshops and give many pounds of produce to those in need in our community.
